My good riding buddy has a 350es. I know there not the same machine but he has nothing but good things to say about it. Same good ol' Honda reliability!

the '02's are the first ones to have the traxlok on them. I suggest your friendly local dealer.

My friend just got a 2002 450ES. He loves it because he says it is great in the mud and for hunting. He got a huge big wheel kit on it. I would definitely get one, I is a great quad!

The es has a bit of a reputation though of not shifting well. I would go with the ever reliable s model, unless he has a missing left leg, and cant shift with it.

I haven't read anything on the "traxlok" system...I'm assuming it is a locking differental??

Actually, it is just the opposite. It is almost the same thing as what polaris, but it is more sensitive on when to engage when in 4X4 mode.

I understand the new 450ES can be shifted in & out of 4x4.

That is what the traxlok is.

the 02 foremans have the same diff as the rancher/rubicons and they are pretty nice but my friends 00 model eats bearings left and right its not all that big of a deal but hey you gotta pay to play right!!

well he decided to get a rancher 350ES 4x4. because hes gonna use the money he saved from not gettin the foreman to get grill guard winch, tires.. etc. now we just gotta sell my 300ex and well be set!

It is deffinately nice to have a utility 4x4 along on rides! We keep 2 sportsman 500's around to pull my sorry butt out of the mud (I usually can get it out myself, we dont consider it stuck unless we have to break out the tow strap.)
