View Full Version : Sparks or HMF?

I am getting a new pipe on my 300, I am sick of the megamax. I can either get a sraprks x4 or x 6 full system , which will cost a lot, and involve me tring to sell the megamax, which I doubt will work. Or I can buy an hmf slip on, and take the silencer of of the FMF header, and cut the header off a few inches and then slide the HMF right on. I talked to someone who has done it before, so I know that it is do-able. I am leaning more towards the hmf because of price. Plus I don't think the fmf header is that bad, it has a diameter that is the same size as any other aftermarket 300ex pipe I have seen, plus it runs between the motor and the frame, unlike how some go around the frame, and from what I can tell, the shorter the header is, the better it is. Plus I don't think that there will be much, if any, of a power difference between the sparks or the hmf.

if money isnt a problem i would say sparks..but the HMF is a sick pipe also

HMF...i'd reccomend them even if money wasnt a factor

Ok, thanks guys, I should be able to cut the header and get the HMF on there without many problems.
