nerf bar questions!!!!!!!

i bought the ac nerf bars with built in heel guards. they were a pain in the *** to install, nothing lined up and i ended up drilling on of the motor moutn bolts out and having to put a nut on the back bc nothing would line up. anyone else have these and have the same problem? i kno nothing aftermarket fits well but this was rediculous

my X-Factor nerfs bolted right on.

the set of AC's that were installed on the atvriders.com project quad bolted on without any issues.

your not the first to complain about ac's fitment, but i must ask, did you bolt the pegs up first or the front bracketry? mounting the front up first has been working for us.

yeah I had the same problem. All of the pro pegs with the heel gaurds that I have ever seen have been a nightmare to put on,but I just kept bending mine till they went on.

wow, this post makes me glad that I bought the Advantage Nerfs from JH Racing!!

my pro pegs with guards went on just fine, no problems at all

well i had my old ones for about a year, still sharp as they were when i first bought them :macho

I bought the dg propegs they are awsome alot tougher than the x factors i had on by blaster really solid and bolted on with no headaches i give em a 10

I have bolted up 3 sets of AC's with kick ups. Not one problem mounting.

The x-factors I had bolted up perfect as well

I had a hell of a time getting my ac nerfs on...Nothing lined up and i dont understand the directions...It says to drill through the nerf and the foot bracket to put a bolt through it..Any one know about this?

My DG race pegs were a bich and the teeth on the pegs wore pretty quick but i sharpend them up real nice with a Rotozip!!!!:devil: Took a little while but are sweet now.P.S. are the nerf bars different on the 04/05 vs the 06/07!!If so that might be why!!!

I just bought a new set of plain AC's for Roll footpegs. The front pipe that connects one nerf to the other was welded in crooked with a cat-t*rd of a weld sticking up to gring off. The part that bolts to the footpeg on the right one was welded way off. It was so bad that the right nerf did not actually "kick up" towards the rear/outside of the nerf. So my left nerf "kicked up", and my right nerf "kicked down". Also, the front to back spacing of the nerfs was off about 2 inches. I bad to pry the nerfs to the back once I got the motor mount bolt started. They were in such a bind being forced to the peg by the peg bolts that the motor mount bolts bent some...

They fit pretty good now, and I didn't really scar them up too much thanks to my dremel, steel wool, and Mother's polish.

I have a full set of Rath Racing Competition Pro Pegs that mounted right up. I only used them 3 times and took them off. I wanted something with even lower pegs than stock. I have been keeping them in case I get another 450r...but I might put them on e-bay soon.

I highly recommend them to anyone. If I weren't 6'6", I would definitely be running them. They look really cool with the heel guard nets and this arrangement doesn't get in the way of your boots.
