I know the oil has a sight glass, but on the other side is the transmission what kind of oil should i run in that and how do i know its at the proper level.

sorry i know these are dumb questions.

undo the phillips head screw..if oil comes out then theres enough

Loosen the 10mm - phillips head bolt. This is the oil check bolt. When the engine is warm, remove this bolt and the tranny oil should slowly leak out of the hole. If it doesn't, remove black plug above bolt and add tranny oil ( not moly ) slowly until it starts to run out of hole. Then put check bolt back in. You should think about changing tranny oil too. Remove 12mm bolt under right foopeg. Not the easiest bolt to get to. Drain tranny oil and replace oil. I use Honda 80W oil in red bottle and top off same way as you add oil with oil check bolt. Do not use synthetic or moly in tranny... will make clutch slip. Good luck.:D
