I'm in need of a vehicle. What do you guys think I can get that has...

1.) Under 100k miles if possible
2.) Not terribly old (no older than 98 if possible)
3.) Enough room for me (6'5" 260, I don't want to 'wear' a car)
4.) Will last me going from Illinois to Wisconsin for a few years
5.) 2500-3000 to spend
6.) Good on gas

I found a 96 Mustang V6, cowl hood, dual exhaust, 92k miles, garage kept in winters, ect. for 3k. That seems to be my best find yet. Any other ideas? Anyone selling a car/truck on here that meets that description? I need it ASAP.

Those 3.8 V6's in the Mustangs aren't exactly known for reliability. Unless I'm mistaken, they seem to have a lot of problems with cylinder heads and gaskets. Transmissions weren't supposed to be so hot either. Here's a link to search results from Cars.com using your criteria, searching within 100 miles of ZIP 54729:

If it doesn't show as a hyperlink, just copy and paste it. Good luck!

I don't really see anything that appeals to me in that list but I do appreciate the help. I've hit every car dealership in a 20 mile radius. It's just too hard to find what you want I guess.
