i know that http://www.servicehonda.com sells kits to put a cr250 engine into a R so they might have kits for 450s.

First of all, the service honda kit is for a 400ex frame and it costs alot and they don't have one for a 450. A 450 will not fit in a 250r frame, you need to get a aftermarket frame, and most require a no-link swingarm, airbox needs to be fabbed, it can be done in a 40oex, but thats more fabbing for the radiator mounts, if you want to do it, your best bet is to buy a bike already done, I bought mine used and I'm a good friend of the guy who build it, he said even with the aftermarket frame it was alot of work, cost. I told him that people do them in 400ex frames and he said, "wow, that had to be difficlut to do". Ithink with the 400ex you need to raise the frame rails, weld new motor mounts, weld-in a center support for the motor, fab a bracket, modify the swingarm. The lsr frame requires their swingarm and I think uses 250r stuff, mine is the baja frame.
Tc racing makes exhausts for custom bikes, since mine is a no-link, I would have had to bring the bike to his shop or, he would make the peices and they had to be finish welded to fit. Also you need a kicker extension(east coast atv), aftermarket waterpump cover(to move the inlet toward the front of the bike).
