hey guys!! need help with my Z, please

Hey, I race alot of harescrambles and gncc races and as you all know the start of these races is a cold start. My bike, a Z400 starts kinda slow, it just turns over slow, takes longer to start than other bikes. Does anyone have any suggestion on how I can eliminate this problem. I would really like to get off the starting line faster.

wait r u asking why does your bike like start slow when its could. well do this i had that same problem when ever you have some free time just go and start it ever other day or so in the winter. and also you knwo where you swith the bikes fuel to reserve or on it also says PRI switch to that it says in the manuel that, that would heat the gas up and should start better.

very simple, let the damn thing warm up for about ten minutes before the race...... I have a temp gague and typically ten minutes or less it reaches operating temps....

JUST LET IT WARM UP(IDLE) WHEN YOU ARE IN THE PIT..

if it is making a weird sound when u try to start it could be the starter going bad or it could be a weak batt.
