ok think about this one.. if i were to put my hands around your neck, and put a "dent" in it.. do you think you would have trouble breathing?
Think about that one

i believe i said, THINK ABOUT THIS ONE!
use some common sense, and some intellegence, and you will figure it out.... but since you are incapable of doing that.. ill help you out..
yes it will effect performance, but the question should be "how much would it effect the performance", that answer would be very little, that is unless the motor is totally ported out, which i highly doubt it is..
Sorry for the sarcastic remarks, but i had to play with your comments.

I have a dent in mine, but it was caused from the brake caliper, when the suspension bottoms it hits sometimes. If you look around at guys that race, you'll see this from time to time. I've actually had it happen on two different systems and it didn't cause and performance issues at all.

I don't think a small dent in a 4 stroke muffler will hurt anything. It would be more of an issue on the headpipe. Dent's have more effect on two stroke headpipes.

i know what u were saying i said haha as in like i was joking
A dent on the outside of the pipe shouldn't hurt it. It is 3 layers, the outer core, the packing, and the inner core. Unless the dent is big enough to push in the inside core it shouldn't ever affect performance.

my yoshi has a small "dent" ware the strap thing goes around it to hold it its not going to hurt anything its just from tightening it up alittle to tight
