2002 Dirt Wheels -TOP SPEEDS

In the new issue 2002 Dirt Wheels Buyers Guide it goes like this out of the box, from fastest to slowest.....

Yamaha Banshee 77.7 MPH

Yamaha Raptor 76.9 MPH

Bombardier DS 650 Baja 76.1 MPH

Cannondale Cannibal 75.1 MPH

Honda 400 EX 66.8 MPH

But here's where it gets interesting...Track times with a pro rider the Honda comes in 2nd out the bunch, next with a intermediate rider the 400 came in 3rd out of the bunch, and the last rider was Trail Rider level he came in 2nd, not too bad considering the 400 it was the cheapest ride out of them all, What good is power if it's not getin' to the ground!! Good article ...worth buying

Are you sure bigred? Because all the info you posted was in the issue that I posted about ATV Action. The times and everthing are the same. But since both mags are owned by the same compony they probably just used the shootout from ATV Action and published it under a dirtwheels buyer guide. I have a Dirtwheels subscription and hand't gotten any about a shoot out between all the quads, that I why i said you were wrong. But if its a special one, then well I guess i'll take your word for it.

Yes ,It is a special issue buyers guide,it is by Dirt Wheels ,pretty thin mag., it has prices ,write ups on dirt bikes,enduros,quads,dual purpose,etc. it's neat because it has all info ,prices and all....probably all from the same place just another way to sell things ....take care...alan
