I have always ran 20's on all my bikes, i have never ridden a bike with 18's on the trail or in a pit.

i was looking into choosing 18's for once just to try them out.

I do most trail and pit riding and am looking into racing next year. so i want to try 18's

I know i will loose clearence but i read trail pretty good and can usually keep my skidplate from hitting any rocks or stumps or what not.

anyway im just looking for some info from anyone who has dropped from 20's down to 18's and how u liked or disliked them

thanks

if you ride a lot of trails, i wouldnt go to 18" tire. you may not hit stuff now, but you will get hung up A LOT more with the smaller tire. ruts, stumps, and roots catch your skidplate all the time.

only benefit, the 18"s will give you a little better acceleration but you will be shifting more and lose top end.

18's are great for mx, but I would stay with 20's in the trails
