Does anyone else feel like a caged animal? Ever since about December the weather has been so cold, you can't even go outside for fun. And it's so cold, it's cold just to walk from buildings to your vehicles. I'm getting tired of just hangin out with my 250R in the garage. I'm ready for it to warm and and start racing here in good ol michigan. I swear, I think I'm going to rub a whole in my frame from cleaning it so much. And we've had snow on the ground since about december. It likes to hang around for awhile on the ground, then we get lucky, and have it melt in a day, then the next day, along comes another snow storm. I feel like a caged animal locked in buildings, i'm ready to just freak out one of these days!!! Anyone else feelin the same thing?

go ride on the snowmobile traills. i have well over 1000 miles on them already, go get some otshu prowedges and you'll be all set. on a good day they are just as good if not better than summer trails.

I'm fed up with it now .... If I'd have been more mobile and able to do things I wouldn't have minded .... but this just sucks now . It's been a weird winter though .... very cold at some times ... then warmed up enough to melt snow . Stud up your quad tires , jet the bike , throw on a snowsuit and warm clothes and do winter riding ... it's a ton of fun .

My quad does not do well in the snow, I can't get any sort of traction. And I would be a lil nervous going out on lake erie with my quad, if that thing fell thru, i would jump in after it!!! I take it out in my neighborhood once in a blue moon with the snow, i just can't get the speed up, cause my back tires spin so much. And i know nothing about studding tires.

I hear ya, if it was only legal to drive on the beaches in florida, that would be awesome. You can rent atv's at daytona beach, but they have them limited and the screws are really tight with loctite. LOL. Anyone here ever done the beach race in virgina? What's that race like?

Depending on where you live you can get to the indoor track in michigan. Its in techemseh and you can ride quads on the MX track all winter.

I usually take my foremen and plow a nice track and race on that. a couple weeks ago we got a ice storm so i just put some screws in the tires and it worked awesome.

hey quad racer87, are the races in tecumseh any good? I haven't made it out there. I'm from temperance, and my 250R is my first quad. I'm lookin to start racing, but I know nothing about racing mx................ I've been to milan a couple times to watch. What sort of advice do ya have? My 250R is definitely up to par with suspension, elka long travel with lonestar a-arms, and all the fixens.............. just need a lil advice to get started.

This morning it was -17 degreees and that was without the windchill. I would have the windows down in my truck if it was 45 degrees here!

Lol, Id have the windows down in the car too if it got to 45! Its been in the 20's or teens here for at least 2 months, maybe 3 days it got in the mid to high 30's. Enough is enough. Parents wanna move to Arizona, but Im not thrilled about the scenery. Good riding though, I guess, and a hell of a lot warmer too.
Cold just sucks. Not whining, but I just love spring especially-- no better time to ride than in some nice mud.:macho

Today is especially bad. 35 mph wind and about 10 degrees. Makes for some good riding conditions. I know, Im just a wuss, all you guys with sleds would be out there.:o

Hey MxJunkie, where is west grove at? I live near Honesdale, if you know where that is. Closest real city to me is Scranton, which is like 30 miles away.
