My buddy is upgrading to a 440 kit. He wanted to know if I wanted his 11.1 piston. I have a stock motor and setup with the exception of a slip-on WB R4 and 148 jet stock air box lid on.
What gain would I have and what changes I should expect to make?

Thanks

that piston should add a good bit of power but i think youd need to bore your engine out for it and you would need to use racing fuel

you would need to bore the cylinder to the piston, get new rings, and 11:1 uses race gas.

11:1 will run fine with 93 octane you do not need the race gas for that. You will only need to bore if the piston is larger than the stock bore. It could be a stock bore piston. Either way you will need to have it honed $15 or so. The new honing will allow your rings to set, and you will need new rings with it to. If you can get it for free I would say do it man. Also a cam is an excellent compliment to a high compression piston. You will gain a substantial boost on the bottom end with a piston.

Pump premium for 11:1 would work fine. I know that for a fact, heared it from many people. A cam would give you optimum power with the 11:1 compression piston.

yes get the piston. just hone and rering.

I have a 11.1 piston in mine i use 93 with a liitle octane booster just to be on the safe side, but 93 will work fine.

octane booster is a waste just gunk's up the motor.

Ive had bad experiences w/ octane booster and I am convinced that it doesnt actually do $hit...

why would anyone want to put chemicals in their engines?
