What's wrong with your stock steel case saver? I know the sprocket guard fits over that one.

if you have a chain come off and go anywhere near the stock case saver it is going to be wasted, and probably rip the bolts out of your case, damaging it. believe me, i found out the hard way. i just ordered a case saver from golden west cycles.

contact J-H Racing918-371-0101 he has come up with a case saver that goes around and past the shifter.

I dont see how the material of the case saver is going to effect the strength of the case where it attaches to the motor. An aftermarket case saver bolts on the same way the stock one does. If a chain gets lodged in between an aftermarket or stock case saver and your sprocket, it's still gonna bust the bolts out of the case. Aftermarket case savers are more for looks than anything else. Keep your chain under close watch.

My aftermarket case saver is broken, and the strength of the bolts were tested, the top one bent and broke my case. The threads in the case itself are what need beefed up in my opinion.
