If I were you I would do a search. I asked the same question before and got a bunch of pi$$ed off replies to do a search. You should be able to find some. But if the people that installed a 440 kit would reply now, a couple years after having them in, wouldn't it be more benefitial to us?

My friend has a 440ex and it dosn't like to start with the stock batery, sometimes it wont even turn over, and some times it bogs down, but we are still workin some bugs out

are you sure its not the cdi? Are his valves adjusted correctly? I have had my 440 for quite a will now and have had no problems. My friend put his 440 kit in in 2001 and has had to replace the head gasket this past summer but this bike has been abused. Both have wiseco 11.1 compression pistons.

It's not the CDI, we recently replaced it and checked the electical system several times, Valves are adjusted correctly, we checked twice, it may be becuase its cold up here, and hes running and eldelbrock carb, which dosn't have a choke or anything

An engine no matter what size is only as reliable as you build it. There are way too many factors to tell you if a "440" is reliable. You could build a 440 for $300 if you want or $3000 if you want.
