yep that and a k&n and a jetted carb and itll feel like a whole new bike:)

hell yea the exhaust is awesome, i have raced a 400ex that had a curtis and we were dead even. the exhaust gives you more bottom to mid power than top end, but it is still increased quite a bit

i like mine....but ive only had it since chirtmas and its starting to rust:mad: :mad: :mad: i used an SOS pad to get most of it off but it still pisses me off.....wakes up the bike good tho:cool:

Anyone know where I can get the emblem for the big gun exhaust that actually goes on the silencer. Mine is peeling away. Thanks, don't mean to hi-jack this thread. It just had something to do with Big Gun, so I thought What the heck.

I sent mine back when it started to rust. They sent a new one. It was guarenteed against rusting, but that was a year ago. Don't know their policy now.

the big gun isn't in the same league as the sparks. i have used both. i have been told big gun recently redid their pipes and i haven't tried a new one yet. the big guns are for torque. dont' expect a top end gain. they are great for low end power and woods riding. the sparks x-4 will stomp a big gun on a stock bike in the upper rpms. races are no where near good comparisons because riders, weight, sprockets, tires, chains, bearings, carb setting, throttle cable adjustments, etc all play a significant role.

well i just got back from the dunes and had now problem smking a red 400 ex with a sparks full pipe!!!!! All i have is a filter and fullpipe.I was also staying side by side with a white 450 yamaha with k&k graphics and a sparks pipe!

Big gun is def better then a sparks x-4..hah...I have ridden 400ex's with many different pipes...And I have to say..I love the big gun...Great sound..and power increases...I'll stick with the big gun on all my bikes..:)

yea me too. they are great pipes IMO. my header started rusting but i sanded that down then polished it. looks brand new
