Well some people like haveing the feeling of (if I get stuck reverse will be there to get me out) or if your wedged in between something on a big hill sometimes its just nice to have. I do fine without it but sometimes in wet muddy or snowy condisions (sp?) its nice to have. And I think Honda should offer a (Trail version) of the 450r that would be pretty sweet id still want my kicker though and only things id change would be a little more clearence in the back end and reverse and id buy it in a heartbeat:D Just my 0.02

I have an '01 400EX. No reverse, no problem. If Im stuck in the mud, I simply hop off and swing it around a bit to catch dry ground or something I can get traction on nearby. A tractor is never to far for those extremely rough conditions but usually, I do it myself. In the snow, I do the same.. All in all, my body is my reverse and it works damn good. Haha :D

i run no fenders so i put my feet on tires and pull backwards
