well my b-day is comin up soon and i was thinkin of askin about gettin a dirtbike cause im not really into the quads (no offense i just like to stick to 2 wheels racin bmx and all) and im was really leanin toward a 4-stroke and was really wantin a ktm race bike but they dont make 4-stroke 250's so i was wantin to go with a 2 stroke 300 mxc (the usa only version) cause i dont want a headlight or tail light. i also like yamaha and was leanin toward a yz250f but i dont know if these bikes are too much power for me. im 5'9'' 157 lbs and like i said a while back im 15. i dunno if i should try a 250 sized bike and dust all my friends up the road which one has a crf230r and the other a 125 pantera and the 3rd an xr100 and his dad has a kx250. should i go with an 85 or should i go with the 4-stroke 250 or the ktm 300mxc?

If you get anything go with a 250 fourstroke, either the xc one or the mx, the 125 if u want something a little cheaper

BTW ktm does have a 250 fourstroke ;)

BTW ktm does have a 250 fourstroke ;) i looked on the site and the only 4 stroke 250 they had was a xc and i hate the xc dirtbikes

then its not avaible in the us then, Nate Ramsey is riding on in the SX series.

You'll kill yourself if you get that KTM 300 2 stroke. Any of the 250f bikes would be an excellent choice. They still have a good amount of power, and they are much easier to grow into than a full-bore 2 stroke. The YZ250f and the Honda CRF250f are both excellent choices.
