everyone with the baked on mud problem wouldnt have it if u washed your bikes after riding them.

not trying to be mean but just for future refrences

i wash my bike after each and every riding i go on (even putting around my yard, the woodchips make the chain dirty so if i have to clean that then why not everything?)

but maybe because when it's in the back of my truck on the way home it's cooling down so that's why it's sticking. i dont know, maybe a good amount of time with an SOS pad will do the trick....

Take the headpipe off the quad

Get some medium grade steel wool

Take steel wool in hand.

Put steel wool up against pipe and move hand back and forth until it comes off.

That's what I did with mine. It worked good.

OR, you can use a wire-wheel on a drill and just do it that way.

Just get a brush and knock the chuncks off. Then get a scotts brite pad, and some metal polish, I use mothers. If you rub the pipe with the pad and the mothers it polishes to a shine. It looks better than new when you are done and it doesnt take very long. I can usually ride a few rides before the pipe start to discolor again.

I use a wire wheel on the drill or dremal tool, takes it off quick!
