I have to adjust clutch cable, clutch wearing or cable?

Hi, I have a 2002 400ex, and every few times I ride it I get a little play in the clutch lever. Is this just the cable wearing or is it the actual clutch? The clutch acts fine so that is why I am thinking it is the cable. So when the adjuster is all the way out do I just need to buy a new cable? Thanks!

A pretty accurate rule of thumb is:
Too much slack= cable stretch
Too little slack = clutch wear

I think your adjuster for the clutch cable is coming loose and makes the clutch not engage properly. Just a thought man, i dont know.
