250R Throttle on a 400EX????

I heard somewhere that putting a 250R throttle assembly on a 400ex allows the throttle to open all the way as compared to the 400ex which is somewhat restricted I hear. Anyone done this or have any info on this mod? I am running a 39mm FCR with YFZ450 throttle cable and Im wondering if this throttle cable will still mount in the 250R housing. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated....

I don't know about the YFZ cable and such, but I DO know that the 250r throttle has a longer pull than the 400EX throttle.

I dont see where you would need the extra pull with the fcr. The two fcr's I've had have had shorter throws then the stock carbs. You could always grind the stop down if you need more.

Yes the YZ450 cable fits in the 250r housing I had that setup on my bike for a whil, it worked fine.
