I want to know why eveyone is thinking that for immediate power you should go out and buy a pipe? I have a 1999 400ex and I tought this too.. My brother also has a 400ex 2000 and he bought a Yoshimura pipe. I instead bought a edelbrock quicksilver carb and I can kick his ***!!!! It was less money and added the same power if not more.. My throttle response is so much quicker it is unbelievable. After i put this on my bike just ran so much better. and is so easy to change (jets) in different altitudes because there is no jets its a screw i can add a pipe or anything on my bike quicker and have it jetted faster than most people have their plastics off..

Basically im telling new quad owners that they should research things before buying a bunch of ****!!!!!!!!

A pipe helps , but they are 2 completely diffrent mods.
A does alot more than an exhaust does.

i was trying to find info on that carb..price etc. how easy was it to set up?

Well a pipe will make a big differance on a big bore quad or a 2 stroke though. Because a 2 stroke loses some of the gas and fumes out of the exhaust and having the right bend on the exhaust will help keep some of the unburned fuel in the motor.

They dont have a carburator for a 2002 400EX just the 01, will it fit or should i just wait for the 02?

I think the only thing that has ever changed on the 400ex is the graphics. If it'll fit a 2001, it'll fit an 02.
