My friend just sold his current set-up of +2,+1 JD performance a-arms and Works fully adjustable triple rates. Also sold the rear Works ultracross as well. He was planning buying the Houser Long travel a-arms and 19" Elkas. He has learned that Housers a-arms for the 400ex are +2 wide but not 1" forward. We are trying to find another comparable a-arm that is 1" forward. He has talked to a few people and they say you won't notice the loss of the 1" on the a-arms unless you are 200lbs. or over. He's over 200lbs. so he would like to keep + 1" forward. Any thoughts or suggestions on this? Also are the top of the line 19" Elkas the best shock to buy today. What about Custom Axis?

We have heard that a 400ex rider over 200lbs has better handling with the +1" forward arms over just 2" wider and standard position of the wheels. Trying to see if that's true. It makes sense though, Bigger guys get more traction so 1" forward on the wheels would balance the handling out.
