What does everyone do to get read of arm pump prior to on during the race. This weekend my arms were killing me on the second lap after hitting 2 trees and kicking my bike for about 5 minutes i was dead. Any sugestions?

I havent race/ridden hard since last sept, and today i raced an hour harescramble, and i didnt get armpump at all! this winter ive been doing some lifting...higher reps though 10-20, drank LOTS of water the day before and right up to the race, and i havent had any pop for atleast 3 weeks. that all seemed to help a ton!

I have never untill yesterday gotten arm pump. I got on the second lap and nevr hit a tree. I'm going back to my old ways. taco bell and mountain dew for dinner the night before and more Mountain dow the day of. I'm faster that way but man look out cuz I have to pee realy bad when the race is over.

Now, you work thought it. I take two Advil before the race they help relax the musels. and try eating bananas the postasum helps big time.

How long does a bottle of pump-x last if I'm racing twice a week?

dont buy steriods just work out and ride as much as you can. nuthing will work better than just practice and getting those muscles stronger so that they can handle what youw ant them too.

When I race, I tend to not grip the bars very hard. Lebanon was very hard to not hold on tight. I wished that I had a steering dampner. But for some reason I didn't get arm pump. But the throttle did get hard to push after a while. I also drink plenty of water and lay off the soda. It seems to help.

Fasst Flex bars, and a good steering stabilizer will do wonders. The Flex bars did wonders for me.

fingernail polish works haha. Na but i have herd of people breathing out of oxygen tanks right befor the race. My buddy did it and he said it helps. I think he said it had something to do with pure oxygen

PUMP X DOES NOT WORK...I TRIED IT OUT AT GLEN HELEN FOR THE FIRST NATIONAL AND I HAD ARM PUMP LIKE A MOFO..

I EVEN TIME MYSELF WHEN I TOOK THE PILLS...I HIT THE GATE 35MINUTES AFTER TAKING THE PILLS.

I ALSO TRIED THEM ON MY LOCAL TRACK 2 WEEKS AGO..AND NOTHING...I STILL HAD ARM PUMP:grr:

work out, drink lots of water, and eat bananas.

also try to stay relaxed. I find that if I get worked up the arm pump gets worse, so I just relax and don't think about the race.

Just relaxing will help ya, if ur freaking out ur gonna get arm pump. My arm pump is usually gone mid way through a race, it really helps considering the second half is the most important half.

Umm..maybe because it's heavy..but 50% of the people get arm pump from pulling the clutch in..V7hun doesn't have a clutch
