yfz rear shock

Is the yfz rear shock much better than the 400ex rear stock shock? I can get one for free so it's not like i'm buying one or anything. Also What mods would I have to do to make it fit? Has anyone ever done this before?

From what I know it wont fit unless you make yourself a special linkage of some sort...
