How hard is it to install a jagg oil cooler kit for the 300ex, and what does it involve doing to install it.

They use an aftermarket oil filter cover for the inlet/outlet oil lines. So it would be nothing more than replacing the stock one with the Jagg and probably zip tying the cooler to the front frame rails. Really easy. Just make sure to fill the cooler up with oil before you connect all the oil lines.

My friend ran a jaggs on his 300ex. It was no problem to install and worked fine. I know four stroke tech used to sell one also, but I'm not sure if they still have them. Other people rig them up also. You can get one from a 350x or a parts store and hack it into your oil line.

FST still sells them. I just bought one for mine. All you have to do is cut your stock oil line, and clamp the rubber hoses onto it. But from the sounds of it, I would go with the jagg, if it makes it kinda like a 400ex where the line attaches right to the side of the motor. But it does sound like it will be a good bit more expensive. Mine costed $80.

The Jagg one replace the stock oil filter cover and the cooler itself mounts to the frame tube. I would say they are the best but you are right, very high $$.

No, it replaces your stock oil filter cover. The Jagg cover has 2 oil lines coming off of it. This mod is probably as easy to do as changing your oil.

Yea, $225 vs. $80.... Personally I would get the one from FST. It just zip ties to the frame kinda behind your front bumper. I don't think that I have ever seen a jagg cooler. FST doesn't have a website, you have to call them.
