On all quads and bikes there are letters either before or after it. For example, TRX450R. what do those letters mean, do they have a purpose?

all part of the model number just like kfx 400 ltz 400 trx250r and so on

Well you see James why do they call the a F-150 a F-150 lol

And without those little "letters" all brands could have a 400cc engine and everyone would get confused if they just called them THE 400 lol u c?:D

^^^^^^wrong f-150 is half ton and last time i looked half a ton was 1000lbs

EX - Electric start 4 stroke. 400ex, 300ex, 250ex

X - Kickstart 4 stroke. 250x, 350x.

R - I wanted to say 2 stroke but the 450r isn't so I dont know.

thr "R" in 450R is Honda's way of calling it their "Racer" w/ the 4stroke thing kickin' in

it is the original half ton before they switched model names just like to ranger used to be full size and the explorer used to be a pick up
