MHSC ROUND #1 was off to a good start with the weather being perfect and about 175 riders . The course was tight and rocky with broke down quads everywhere and many skidplates and bumpers laying about .The day ended with Duane Johnson on top in the overall with Bryan Baker on his tail within inches.

We`ll be posting pictures tonight an tomorrow with the best report possible.Please bear with us this first race of the year. Our reports will get better as the races continue and we learn more faces and names. So make yourselves known, stop by an say hi to monica and I so she knows who you are and can make more accurate reports and get to know everyones names quads an numbers.

In the near future we will be selling photos (8x10, 5x7, 4x6), t-shirts or just the iron on transfers of your favorite pics really cheap so check back for updates.

Elk Creek was a great kick off race for the MHSC with about 175 riders plus their family and friends attending.

The AA class start was sure to be a good one with names like Duane Johnson, Bryan Baker, Rhett Butler, Todd Senger, Bryan Hulsey, and Jamie Shepard to name a few. And they're off...........

The A class was set for another battle with #26 Chris Wyatt out on the holeshot but Dankel and the others were fighting for position.

With 21 entrys in the A class they just keep coming.

With 20 entrys in the b class it was looking to be a big battle but by the end of the first lap 4 riders were already finished for the day due to broken tie rods and such.

The vet class (25+) had 16 entrys with number 226 Ryon Weidner out front but his race was over by the second lap.

This poor Cannondale had a bad start but by the end of the race Gerald Salsbury # 256 had roosted his way back from 16th to 6 place.

These up and coming riders in the 2-3-4 class were in for a big challenge with the course being so rocky. With 8 riders only 1 was unable to finish the race. Big thumbs up to the young riders.

This banshee rider wore himself out and caused a small bottleneck. After a minute or so he got his quad moved so people could get thru the gate freely.

We had an awesome turnout at Elk Creek, Lebanon and I hope to see just as many at the next race at Sedalia. I had a blast yesterday seeing old familiar faces and meeting some new people plus getting to see some great racing. Couldn't get much better than that. :D

Feel free to add more pictures to the post but please let's keep this thread as race coverage and pics only . Let's keep positive.

Mark busted tierod about 2 miles into first lap,He had a bad start do to are day before jetting with new pipe Is quad wouldnt open up But we`ll be ready for Sedalia:D

Monica did all the work an dragged the 3 sand bags (kids) with her threw the woods An posted all the pictures.But she said it was a great B-day an spent the way she wanted to. Thanks everyone.It was a great race with great weather an the greatest 178 riders in Mo.:D Despite Franks closing the day off statements Just keep coming back.

Great job Monica with the pics and report.
I bent a Tie rod on the begining of the second lap, then broke a Tie rod end shortly after.
Spent about 45 min trying to make it back to the pits
Got it fixed and did one more lap.
went from 1st to 15th in b-vet class. :(
I am guesing you had the Barry Hawk shirt on. next time I will say Hi
I think johnny was lined up just behind me.
Great job and keep up the hard work.
I hope every one keeps coming to the races. Sad to see some being thin skinned like um you know who.
