Hey,

Well I went to Jack Frost today and was hitting some decent size doubles. I rode most the day until about 2:00pm when I snapped my pos swingarm!:( Well I'm very upset about it because a aftermarket one is expensive and I dont just have 600 bucks laying around. Well anyways beerock was there and we rode until my swingarm cracked,,,, heres some pics,

Try LSR, or try the number on the end of the swinger in this pic...they dont sell alot, so they shouldnt be too far out.

Well I cant find out if anything is in stock on the net and today is sunday,,, so I'm gonna have to wait until tomorrow I guess.

I'm thinking of going all out and buying a walsh race craft swingarm if it doesnt take forever to get.

Yeah , the stock swingarms do seem weak and thin.
Honda should seriously look into updating those.

400exBro
05-05-2002, 07:13 PM
Honda makes it that way for money reasons and not all people go out and hit 25 and over foot doubles like a lot of people on here do,

Call Baldwin and see if he has any Laeger`s in Stock. I would Wait and get a Houser since you have Houser A-Arms.

I'm not getting a houser,,, I dont wanna buy another swingarm. So its not worth taking a chance. To tell you the truth I'm really not all that happy with the welds on my houser a arms, they look really cheesy. Well they've held up so far, so i cant complain.

I either want a laeger's or a walsh, but the only downside is, I have a district race in 2 weeks and a national on june 22-23. So I NEED a swingarm.

Man if you don`t like the A-Arms you should have Sent them back and got some Laeger`s. Baldwin has the New A-Arms in Stock. Call on the Swingarm. I bet the Walsh will have a Long Wait. I can`t Wait to see all the Quads at Reb Bud next Weekend.

I agree, it would take some serious abuse before a Houser swingarm would fail Not saying it's not possible but they are beefy and well designed. :p

Norm, seems you and beerock had a bad day out there. He said he came up a little short on a double and it bucked him off the bike and bent his steering stem.

Anyway, check out www.team-rpm.com

Man you Broke it Bad. I have never seen a Swingarm Broken that Bad. What Size was the Jump?

05-09-2002, 07:43 AM
That's pretty much were they all brake...:( POS swingarms....Hey Norm,,how hard was it ta get that SOB'n pivot bolt out???

beerock
05-09-2002, 10:39 AM
what a POS swingarm

It wasnt that the jumps were really big(they were about 30 - 45 footers)
it was the fact that the landings were rough and uneven.

I wouldnt even put it past the fact that he probably broke his swingarm on the samejump I crashed on.

The bump I landed on was pretty bad.

enough to break a swingarm or buck you off.

That would be really aamazing if it was the samed ouble that claimed both of us.

norm im talking about the far single to table top to double

that double I crashed on had a severe lump on the left-center side.
I wouldnt doubt if that was thee cause. :o :o :o

I like jack frosts tracks but they need to learn how to make them a bit better.

I was yelling at the one kid who was watering the track down, all he was doing was making it slippery. it wasnt adding traction.

those kids listen too, if you go up to them and be like dude dont water the track down theyll stop.

its kinda pitiful, we pay 30 bux and we get kids watering the track down who dont even ride.

one kid was waterignt he base of a jump and there was a puddle right at the bottom:rolleyes:

can you say slow you down? - not good at the base of a jump..
im done ranting

I was at the track today (practice track) and two guy broke swingarms today!!!!!!! both 1 1/2 LSR is this a common thing?????

400exRacerX
05-11-2002, 09:32 PM
I heard LSR and burgard swingarms are POS. I was reccomended by alot of people to either go with a Laeger's, Walsh, or Roll.

QuadRacer041
05-12-2002, 03:57 AM
waldo, were they 400ex's?
if so it was common for lonestars to brake on the left side near the shock linkage. i broke one and a freind broke one in the same place.lonestar warrented both our swingarms and have made some changes to correct the problem and we havent broken one in over a year, and we do some pretty big jumping.
