yup, mor compression is a good cause, also if the timing has been advanced any itl worsen it too, pluss as the bores get bigger theres more weight for it to though bakwards. yes it really really hurts. kick it with yur boot on. whether yur kickin the starter or jus kicking it cuz yur pissed.

Just pay attention when your kickin it. If mine ain't kickin back on me then she ain't runnin right :D

Try not taking your foot off the kicker and put a mx boot on, problem solved!

It will bite ya, when your least expecting it. Happened to me before, now I'm a little more careful.

Cant imagine a big bore. If it Kicks back and breaks your shin, are you really going to tell your friends that you broke your leg trying to start it.? :p

Mine does the same thing. I had mine kick back on me and I didn't have my fox boots on, had a huge bruise on the arch of my foot and hurt like a b*tch to walk for a week!! Mine never did this till I had the compression bumped up. 250R's for life though. Nothing hits like a 2-stroke.

Keep your foot on the Kicker and don't use Sandals to start it.

I made that mistake once. Going to start it to move it out of the garage to wash it. Had on come Nike soccer sandals. Well it's a 295 big bore and kicked back onto the ball of my foot. Hert to walk for about 3 days!

If you slowly kick it forward until it stops and then SLOWLY give it a bit more you will feel it slip in and stop. that is complete TDC and then let the kicker come back and hop on it!

Helps to start it especially in the cold. Mine starts up on the 1st kick even in 20 deg weather.

Get GOOD boots.... It doesn't hurt if you have your boots on!!!!!!!!

I have a 400cc big bore and I don't start it without boots. I have limped for a week because i didn't have boots on. But who ever said this is right. "If it doesn't kick back then its not running right."

My 330 with tennis shoes resulted inifteen stitches. Cut me right to the shin bone. You could look in the hole and see flesh moving.

The reason it is kicking back into your foot is because it is too Rich. To eliminate it from doing this give it a little throttle as you kick it over. I have a 350 powervalve and I have bruised the arch of my foot before.

The reason it is kicking back into your foot is because it is too Rich

Please explain this to me, I don't understand how a rich jetting will result in kick back.
