Suspious Looking object in my school parkin lot. Bomb threat.

Well About 12:30 today I see all the high schooler's coming into our school parking lot (middle school, elemtary school, and the high school are only about 500 yards apart). But nobody came over the intercome so I figured it was a drug search. So us middle school kids didnt think anything of it and went on with life. About 1:30 I see trucks blocking off roads, about 3 ATF trucks, fire trucks, and about 8 cops cars/truck. Then I knew it was a bomb threat. Luckliy they let us get on the buses and go home. Before we left they wasnt letting anybody go to there cars or anything. I'll keep ya'll updated. :o

every friday at school the fire alarm goes off and last week we even had the pleasure of smelling a stink bomb all 4th block lol

Wow I dont think there would be any reaction if there was a piece of pipe in the parking lot.

I live in the what is said to be the most dangerous place in New York. I know of kids bringing blades (knives) to school and ****, in the high school they have confiscated some guns (uzi's) stuff like that. Pretty hardcore over here.

Why would they set off a small explosion next to it. Wouldn't that make it explode? That is the stupidest thing I have read in a while.

They do that to see if it in fact is a bomb or a hoax. It's not a stick of dynamite of course, but more or less a powerful firecracker just to see what happens, of course the area was cleared and no pedestrians were there and thats what they were trying to avoid, it going off with innocent bystanders near.

Yeah, because you know more than the bomb squad on how to disarm a bomb. Why don't you visit the bomb squad and see if you can teach them something from all your experience:rolleyes: Seems pretty simple to me, you can't just through a potential bomb in the trash. Seems a lot better if you blow it up in a safe area instead of risking someones life trying to disarm it manually.
