Who is running or knows much about these rims? I know they have the integral hub. I'm thinking about a set, and wanted to know how well the hub holds up? I want to run 8 inchers only in the back, so lemme know how tough the hubs are.

The rims are tough, however I have stripped out my hubs. I think that they make them with a steel inserts in the hub now to keep it from stripping out. I am not sure of this because I have not bought new hubs yet, but you could call them and check.

Even though I have stripped out a hub I would still recommend them, the hub stripping was my fault because I did not have the axle nut tight enough so there was some movement between the axle and hub.

my friend had them strip out on his yfz450, they fixed them for free. I have them on my atc250r and crf450r quad(250r rear end) and no problems with them, the ones on the crf have almost 2 years on them.

Sounds good to me. Just need to make sure that I keep the hubs tight. I'll be ordering a set as soon as I have the money.

YES keep them tight. On a 400ex they should be torqued to 100 ft-lbs.

I have had 8 inch hipers on two quads, both of them have worn the splines out, i recommned torqueing them with an air impact. Both sets were older style w/o the steel insert like the new ones. I would recommend the 9 inch w/o the hub

I'd rather use the 8 inchers. They'll give me more sidewall roll, which will let me get it sideways a little better. It'll also hook up better off the line. Besides, if I keep the hubs tight, which I always do, and constantly check them, then I'll be fine.

No idea, i haven't replaced my hubs with the new ones, i just torque them down hardcore and have switched over the nylong lock nuts, seems to work
