I just bought a 2005 400ex yesterday, and I am picking it up Saturday. I measured my Ford Expedition and it should fine perfectly fine with my seats down/removed except the handelbars wouldnt clear the height. Is it possible to unscrew the handlebars, because without them i can fit the quad in there. I appreciate any help guys, thanks.

you can take out the bars it really easy 4 bolts.

But a easier way would be to put the quad in the truck backwards. so that the rear is pointing forward. the back fenders are lower then the bars.

In the future get one of those haulers that hook onto the back of your truck if you have a square receiver. This will be much better and keep your truck cleaner.

just my .002

ps just loosen the clamps, lower the bars without removing them, should be the easiest way to load the quad.

congrats on the quad let us know how it works.

every one thought it was funny when i brought my 400 to school in the back of my moms old caravan. you could see the outlinine of it from a ways away. and the best part was i didnt need to adjust any thing to get it in. just take out the back seats.

Also you can take ratchet straps, and compress the suspension, you can drop it like 6 inches that way, you need 3 straps, on the front hook to the lower a arm, and up on the frame, on the back go from the swinger to the grab bar, works nice :muscle:

You could let the air out of the tires too to help it out.
