Jumping

I was watching the race from Glen Helen on ********.com and it looked like to me when they hit a jump they were sitting down then once they got in the air they stood up. I stand slightly and was wondering if sitting down while hitting a jump and then standing while in the air was better.

i think the purpose of sitting down before you jump is because when you sit down you compress the rear spring a little. when you go off of a jump you stand up and the rear spring straightens and makes you go a little higher. i could be wrong but i think thats the reason.

i sit down till the front tires hit the peak of the jump then i stand

they are using preload....trying to compress the suspension as to give themself a better lift

I just use the left analog button to preload.:p thanks for the help
