well I looked to see how much Mobil 1 red cap oil I had left and I got about 1 1/2 quarts left(its no longer available). Just my luck. It takes just under 2 quarts to fill up my 400ex. Would it hurt to mix about a half court of the oil thats in it right now with the oil that hasnt been used yet next time i change the oil. Or should I just go ahead and switch to a different brand and keep the Mobil 1 on the shelf?

keep the mobil 1 on the shelf! I wouldnt want to re-use oil! mixing it with used oil would be like whiping your ***** before you take a chit...it just doesnt make sense!:D :p

:D well i guess thats one way to think of it. I just didnt want to let it go to waste. Looks like I'll have to find something new.

Dump whatever you use next in with it.

if your looking for a new oil try the Castrol Actveo 4 stroke oil we started using it when DJ git sponsorship & we really like it, it seems to make them run a little cooler too :D we had always used Castrol in the blaster case since we built never had a problem

I just went to my local autoparts store and they still had Mobil 1 red cap on the shelf. I asked them if it had been discontinued but the worker hasnt heard anything about it being discontinued. So I picked up another quart.

I heard Mobil 1 red cap has been changed to a different name and has also additive in it now that wouldnt be good to run with quads clutch (would make it slip).
