how often should a 4 stroke pipe be re-packed? ive had mine for about a year now and ive noticed its gottn alot louder.....

if you noticed it has gotten louder,i would repack it.normally once or twice a season but really it depends on how much riding you do honestly.i get a whole season from my yz426 but i only ride 1 or twice a week.or whenever my wife lets me.:D

i checked mine after about a years worth of riding and the packing was still really new looking. there was barely any black on any of the packing. i would say at least 90% of the packing didn't even look like it was used. i was surprised. i changed packing anyways but that was just because i wanted to run silent sport packing. :D
