400ex problem

my 2002 400ex was running til my neighbor took the spark plug cap off the sparkplug,* a resistor and a lil metal cap that hooks onto the top of the spark plug came out, ever since then it hasnt run, does the new spark plug cap have to be the oem one from honda for it to run?

I have heard that there is something in the cap, someone said it was a fuse maybe it is a resistor. So i'd say that the OEM cap or similar is needed.

yeah, a buddy of mine had the same thing happen. He had to get a oem cap. Check ebay, he got his there for a few bucks
