melting plastics

i was just wondering i have a few cracks that are really noticible on my quad can you melt the plastics back togther or will it go up in flames

Just get new plastic

you can melt it...it shouldnt burn if you melt it evenly and slowly. I had a giant crack in my red plastic and it didnt distort the color or burn and turned out really nice...i say take the 10minutes to melt it together with a propane torch and save yourself a couple hundred bucks!

Plastic welders are very useful!! i use mine all the time
