We are supposed to get anywhere from 4-10 inches here in NY. Its supposed to be a really wet and cold next few weeks in the northeast. A lot of snow and a lot of colder temperatures

Yeah, up in NE Pa, we are supposed to get like 2-4". Was supposed to start about an hour ago, but hasnt yet. Schools have been dismissed like at noon or so.

Its funny that someone pointed out that we are in for, at least the next few weeks, some cold, snowy weather. Dad read the Farmer's almanac (I personally dont take too much stock in it) and it said that Dec., Jan., and the first half of February were supposed to be rather mild (which they were). Then, from the end of February up until the latter part of March the weather is supposed to be very nasty. All this and the stupid groundhog saw his shadow too!! In the NE at least, the Almanac has proved to be true so far. I dont know if they just got lucky or if there really is something to it:confused:

We're getting 3-4 here. I woke up at 9, my yard was covered, and it's been coming down ever since. Doesn't really matter to me though. Our teachers are on strike, or as they like to call it, a "work-stoppage." Pretty stupid, however, I could careless.
Pretty much our school is in debt (has been for years) and the teachers are getting pay cuts and they don't like it so there now on strike. I think its gonna last for 14 days then we go back for like 3 days then we have another 14 days off. So pretty much for a month. Bad part is, we have to make it up in summer. Good thing theres a law where we can't go to school past June 30th.
