Lt50 Q

Bought my son a new LT50 last weekend to go with my new 400EX. He's almost 5 and is pretty good at riding. Have it set on go slow at the moment. Is it very bad for the motor putting along like that? Although I don't think he'll last long until he wants to speed up.

It won't hurt it. I had one just like it that I bought for my son when he was 3. It wasn't long before he was over it and I had to upgrade. That's the big drawback to the single speed tranny, you just can't do a whole lot with them power wise.

i have an 02. it's probably dif but i rebuilt the moter and had to drill out the restrictor in the intake. w/ that and some porting he now has all the power he needs:D now when he rides he is never wide open, even up hills.
