spray some simple green everywhere and let it sit for about 30 to 45 seconds...i wouldn't leave it on there longer than that....then just spray it off with a water hose.. you'll be impressed

Looks like a nice banshee, cept its dirty! I've been considering getting one, since they're dirt cheap right now. You don't look like you have any stickers or anything you might blast off, so i'd take it to the car wash and wash the crap out of the motor. It would help to get some high quality degreaser and put on it, and let it sit for 30 minutes or so, then load it up and take it to the car wash, or hose it off at home, but the wash would be better. We use mean green at the car delership i work at, and it works pretty good. You might not have access to a hook up for heated water, but hot water + degreaser, can clean off just about anything. Castrol makes this degreaser that will take off anything at all, but if you get it, be careful not to get it on the plastic or anything, cause it will take the finish off, its that powerful. And with the pipes, i'd take them off, and polish them with a steel wool.

Hey ya, i never thought about sos pads. Those'd work good on those pipes, and wouldn't get used up like a steel wool would. Degreaser, let it sit, blast it down, then i'd take the pipes off, and scrub the crap out of them.

Yo Josh if you are gonna ditch the pipes cause the condition. I would recomed 2 into 1 pipes and a 2 into 1 airfilter. The pipes sound sweet on a banshee the 2 into 1s that is plus 1 airfilter thats a lil less mainteance. Once that banshees back running it will be a beast. Good luck wit it.:)

better off power washing the hell out of it then just strip it down and clean by hand with some never dull and hot soap and water

Here was my baby, I put $3400 into it during a winter rebuild, 2 winters ago, I broke a tie rod riding last winter so i put it on the trailer and brought it home, the barn was too full, so I locked it to the trailer till i could make room, they came and stole the trailer and all, had to pull it half a mile thru woods to steal it :ermm:

If you need any parts, I still have a bunch of extra parts i had like wiring harness, frame, side casings, head, old shocks, some old plastics, bout it

Take a die grinder to that with a wire wheel on it. You'll have that clean in 10 min.
