this man knows his suspension stuff, and is aboslutely correct. they make the quad twitchy and unstable

400ex a-arms work just fine. they ride better than stock. just have custom works or axis shock. they will build them for ure bike.

please explain how you fix the incorrect tierod location on the spindles and steering stem of the 300ex so they work fine. also, what do you do about the bumpsteer?

i was thinking of doing this but i decided not to...you'll regret it unless you get custom shocks made...just save up for 300ex parts:cool:

Even with custom shocks the setup doesn't work well.

Alias99-go with what bradley300 said.
Burgard 300ex +2+1 a arms, shock relocater and a set of custom ordered shocks are the best setup.

ltl666devil,

you can fit an XR500 motor in a 300ex frame? Are those motors electric start?

ya the motor i have is but ive seen them without electric start. it took some customizing. a little grinding and welding but nothing serious. its a fun bike cause it has alot of balls. it comes up everygear.
