well i just got back from the 24hr numb bumb ice race. one dealership brought out a new honda and a new yamahaha. both 450's with mods. also two other independent teams riding honda and three other teams on yamahaha. at about 6 hr in one yamaha blew the bottom end, another team had to change out every electrical component from a spare machine to get it running.
the same team also blew v/c gasket, rear hubs , lighting issues, and more!! all the honda's ran flawless full out for 24 hr except one rear sprocket coming apart. we saw many 250r , banshee, etc and no one had as many problems as the 450 yamahaha. this is a very gruelling event but it defines RELIABILITY the winners were 1st honda trx450 2nd honda trx450 3rd my team riding predator (sponsored machine) i own a 450r and 4th honda 450r
i didnt keep track after that.

Personally id rather see a yamaha do good than a polaris. I could write a novel series of people with crap polaris's

they are hella 4000 i believe !! with piaa extreme white bulbs. we also run heated bars, the predator lacks stator power but i would really like to mount these on the trx. i know the stator is about 50 watt more.

the polaris is free !! remember that part, and we had lots of problems too. otherwise i feel we could have done 2nd or 1st place, but that is why it is called endurance racing. don't get me wrong i wouldn't own one. the lights lowering bars etc. are all done by us. no kits

hondaryder42, Be careful!! When you are sponsored, espeically with a free ride their product to you should be the best and to anyone who askes you its the best. You don't want to burn any bridges, free rides are usually hard to come by.

Got nads?

Hey buddy, I was there too. Me and my brother were sponsered by Honda Extreme, and were riding to the Black modded Honda Rincon that blew up, and ended up running a stocker!

Parkland Cycles Honda 450R had a big bore 510 or 520 kit (sorry can't remember), they came in what like 3rd overall and 1st in the over class. They came well prepared and their machine was well built. We practiced a couple times with them, and it was great to see the 450r smoke the dirtbikes. We will probabley run a similiar setup next year.

Hey MixMike, do you have 10 other pictures of burnt up YFZ's? Or is this the only one you run around posting? I bet I could find a 450r burnt up like that.

Don't be posting that ONE picture everywhere it's not nice. I have both a 450r and a heavily modded yamaha warrior. I lover them both and beat the ***** out of both of them. Not a problem with either, not one!
