Hey I'm thinking about staring flat tracking and just curious where to get and what kind of tires I need? Does anyone have some cheap used ones.

Your particular track conditions should dictate your tires. Hoosiers and other "flattrack" tires are good for asphalt or really hard-packed clay. My local track is fairly soft, with quite a bit of loose dirt on top, almost sandy. As such, Holeshots hook up much better than regular "flattrack" tires.

A couple of guys come out with Hoosiers, and are constantly spinning their wheels and getting sideways in the corners, and I just blow right past them with much better traction.

Thats what I use Wilkin, an old bald set of holeshots. Work for me. :ermm:

I have a friend that has a brand new set of hoosiers, he used them once on the lake. They are on banshee rims right now, but he would sell just the tires too. Let me know if you are interested.

American Racers are the best for TT AND FLAT TRACK.. Almost everyone I know runs them on FT.

But if it's loose dirt then go with the tamers..(ok ft tire)

They are on yamaha rims, i believe the banshee and blaster used the same rear bolt pattern. He used them for 3 laps on an ice race.

the blaster & banshee don't have the same bolt pattern as far as I know cuz I'm looking for banshee hubs for my blaster so I can get 10" wheels?????????????????? Good God it wouldn't be the 1st time I was wrong though :o :p
And what in the world was someone using flattrack tires on ice for?????????? I'm sooooo confused LOL ;)

We run turf tamers @ our indoor arena's & for class C tires we use.........................areyou ready for this LOL...............................turf savers :D:D we siped them & they work good on our blaster, haven't tried them on bigger CC quads, but have seen others run them w/ no problems.

I am trying to work a deal on some Hoosiers for it though, so the boy will have Hoosiers all the way around, he's going to be running the West Coast Amatuer Nationals & i don't want him to look like a dork LMAO ;)
Here's a pic of the 18" rears, they are not siped, the 20's are though :)

80-90 % of the rubber class Ice racers around here use the hoosiers because they grip really good on the ice, not as good as studs obviously, but better then any non studded tire out there. Because they are super soft maybe?! idk why they work so good, they just do. They work better then my zippers which are 4snow copies on ice.

 I have the same tires for my 300, they aren't too bad, I have barely ran them though, they didn't work worth a crap in the indoor arena, just spun for me I though, my nephews use them on thier 250x & 300ex they seem to like them though!! I liked them on the class C tracks, but I won't be running the 300 flattrack much anymore, they also do good in the sand :D!!! Good luck w/ them!! So now they just sit in the shed, hmmmmm if they were 20's I'd put them on the blaster but they are 18's :(
