Good news for 300ex owners who dont like the front fenders....

I dont know if anyone is aware that the new plastics for the 350 warrior were designed by maier after a guy contacted them and asked them about it, and six weeks later his warrior looked like a yfz450. Well i read that in ATV Sport and it got me thinkin, there arent any good looking front plastics for the 300ex (this is before i found out about fullbores, which are too high $ anyways) so i wrote maier an email telling them about it and said they should design some similar to their 400ex race fronts, and that i knew alot of people would probly buy them. Anyways i figured i would never hear from them but i just checked my email and had this:

We are in the process of making a new style front for the 300ex. It is
still a month or so out. I have no pricing or pictures. Please check
back
April 1st.

Hey maybe if we can get enough people interested we could get a price cut for giving them so much business...... Anyone interested for sure?? I think they will end up looking like the race cut 400ex .......so if anyone is sure they want to get them(depending on looks etc.....) lets get a list goin of who does, maybe i can email them and ask about a price cut or somethin....

Finally, ill definately get myself a set. I think that Honda themselves should consider givin the good ole 300 a face lift.

i guess im the only one that likes the full fenders on a 300ex, thats why i went with Maier full fenders when i bought plastic for mine, o well this new design should look pretty awesome

actually im scared that honda will give it a face lift, if they mess it up like they did the 400ex i might just cry :p

Although fenders are there for a reason, I still think that this sit of new upcoming plastics should be pretty cool.

Im with outsider on this one, I like em better with full fenders. I would like to see maier come out with something that resembles a 450r, now that is a fender set I would buy. :cool:

i owuld liek to see them come out with a 3 or 4 piece front fender (nose tank and 2 side pieces. and then they could make a different style hood scoop for the 300 and i would deinately buy them. even though i jsut spent 500 on plastics i will def buy the new style if looks good enough

This is great news ! I'm glad i didn't go ahead and pay mega $$$$ for the fullbore plastic. I would love to see the new design look like or something similar to the 450r plastic.

Buy the low profile rears. They look a lot better and have flat spots built just for numbers.

They are not going to be like the 450rs, they are gonna look somewhere between the 250r and 400ex one piece race fronts, and they already have a low profile rear for racing without the humps in it.
Here is a pic with the low pro rears and custom cut front, cut by whoever owned this.

I noticed that Maier has FULL front fenders on their website. Is this the new cool-looking fenders?!? So they're full fenders instead of race-cut, whoopee. They're still just as ugly as the stock fenders.

I sure hope this isn't the new, great look they're talking about. Anybody know how long these full fenders have been up?

I just e-mailed maier last week before I saw this post, they responded with check back in 30 days, they are not going to be race cut with no fenders, just an updated look like they did for the warrior, the new warrior resembles the YFZ and they look good, my freind just ordered and they may take up to 3 weeks to deliver. Has anyone contacted them about a group buy, if not I will try to get some info,
