250x Owners

Just a random thought.....

Do you ever find yourself just telling people you have a 300ex when they ask what kind of quad you have? Its sooooo much easier than explaining what the 250x is, since not too many people know of it. And since the 300ex is almost exactly the same, its not too big of a lie.

Its just easier to do, because I always get a million and one questions about it. For example "Don't you mean 250r" or "Dont you mean 250ex, ewww its semi- automatic"

Just wondering if others ever do this.

i know what you mean. i dont own a 250x but a guy i know does. i told my dad he had one and he goes no you mean a 250r. i had to explain to him and show him pictures online that there was a 250x lol

I had to explain it to a guy at a honda dealer one time. I have to all the time. LIke when it was for sale in the local type ads, people would ask if it was a 250r.

When I owned my old 250x, I would just tell people it was an older version of the 300ex, the only real difference was the kickstart and everyone understood that pretty easily

Yup thats what i do.....I love that though when people are like aaahh man u don't have a clutch.....and then u gotta explain to them that it does!!!:rolleyes:

when i was looking at getting a fourwheeler i told some people that i was looking at a 250x. i got all the questions like thats a two stroke or u mean a 250ex and then i always had to go on the internet to prove them wrong. then they were like oh i didnt know they made one of those. thats y i got a 300ex :D not really
