Zero Preload. This is where one of the shock gurus display there knowledge..

Actually ZPS shocks make it more difficult to preload it off of jumps. Since there is no preload on the springs with ZPS setups, the quad jumps much lower than before. I've ridden with friends and they're 400EX's with stock shocks jump a little higher than mine but land like a ton of bricks. :p Basically ZPS shocks allow you to stay lower in your overall riding, which in turn makes you faster.

ZPS shocks make the world of difference more so in turning. Jumping, almost any shock valved for your weight is alright. ZPS lowers your center of gravity a lot therefore, enabling you to fly through the turns faster. Smoother ride the faster you ride too

actully zps doesen't make it more difficult to preload, it makes it so you can control how much preload you need.
