can i ajust the preload on my rear shock ?

can i asjust the spring preload on my rear shock on my 400 ? the 2 screw ajustments aprently only change the internal piston, i would like to stiffen my spring, how can i do it ?

Losen the top nut above the spring. And tighten the bottom nut then tetighten the top nut.
