What to buy...KFX400 or ???

Guy's, I'm pretty much new to ATV's, coming off of a XR250R. Yes I have made the switch. I would like to know which ATV to purchase? I consider myself to be a pretty conservative rider, nothing to crazy, mostly trails. I have read some of the reviews, and they were getting pretty hot! Just need some good advise on a new ride.

personally, i think the kfx400 would be a perfect ride for you. if your a trail kind of guy then the 400 couldnt be better, reverse and everything. the suzuki z400 is EXACTLY the same in every way as the kawasaki kfx400, so if u want yellow you cant go wrong either;)

What about the Honda trx 450 r?

the 450r is a great bike but is more for the serious rider. it is very high performance and is more for the track and racing. you can use it for what ever you want but i wouldnt trail ride with it simply because it has no reverse. i wouldnt reccomend a 450r to you because you said you are new to the quad world and it is a little much for beginners, i dont doubt your riding abilites because you said you used to ride bikes, but still i wouldnt stick a beginner on a full blown racing 450.

Thanks again for the information. That was what I needed to find out to help make my decision. Being a Honda fan, it was hard to look at something else. But the KFX seems to be an awsome ATV, and finding a 2004 KFX 400 for $3700.00 is a no brainer. The owner says he only rode it two times, so no scratches, dings, or damage to it. Thanks again for your help!

I have the Z400, you won't be sorry. Great stock trail bike, fun mxer with few little mods, and great mxer with alot of mods:)
