kickstarter hits footpeg

hi im just wonderign if its only me, but my kickstarter hits my footpeg when its fully depressed. Is this normal? I had it off but only the kick start lever, never too the bottom part off the engine. I dont remember it doing this before i did my winter rebuild, so thats y im asking. Thanks

Did you put it back on in the right groves? You might have it one or two groves off causeing it to be able to go down too far. It should have indicator marks on it to line it up correctly, a little hole on the shaft and a little arrow mark on the kicker.

i never took the bottom part off the shaft. I just pulled the lever off the bottom.

That is normal they all do that, if you look@ the kick starter there is a casting mark that hits the foot peg. Oliver
