I HAVE A 190 MAIN AND A 50 PILOT JET.PLUG LOOKS GOOD.
WITH THE HOT START ARE U SUPPOSE TO PUSH AND HOLD AS U KICK HER OVER./OR ARE U TOPUSH A LET UP THEN KICK HER.
IT SEEMS LIKE THERE IS A LOT OF EXHAUST GASES WHEN KICKING IT OVER....??????
I ALSI HAVE A POWER NOW.I AM WONDERING IF THAT COUL;D BE CAUSING A PROBLEM?

Hold the hot start in when you kick it over.

Yes you want to hold the hot start until it starts running. If that doesnt help it, you might want to remove the power now and see if that clears it up.

after stalling put it in neutral then use hot start and kick it.

if your quad is running correctly (jetting) you shouldnt have any problems starting it on the first kick after a stall as long as you use the hot start. you need to hold it in untill it starts, then let it go and hammer down.

I ALSO HAVE BEEN MIXING 110 OCTANE WITH SOME PUMP GAS.I WAS WONDERING IF THAT HAS TO DO WITH IT?....
SOMEONE ELSE SAID TO ONLY RUN 87-89 OCTANE THAT WHY?

that may have something to do with it. there is no reason for you to be running anything over 93 octane unless you have a higher compression piston. not only is it a waste of money to mix the 110, but it could make your quad run worse.

JW450R1, Remember that the trx has an excellerator pupm on it and not to give it any gas when you are trying to start it. If your pilot jet is off it will have a hard time starting.

this has happened to me twice in a race,1st time someone jumped onto my quad and stalled it and i was half atrack down by the time it started, went from last and a lane behind 8th to 4th outta 9 tho,the 2nd time i turned it to sideways and it stalled and it wouldn't start and i lost 1 position but soon gained it after stallin

Drop back that pilot to a 48 or a 45 and i bet that problem gets better. The hot start is a way of leaning the starting circuit in your carb. When an engine warms up it needs less fuel to start, just the opposite when its cold, hence you use a choke (more fuel) Start using that hot start button, thats what its there for. Never ever ever give it throttle when or before starting it. Also, like someone stated, always put it in nutruel (sp is terrible) before kicking it over. Mayby turn your idle up a hair as well. Goodluck

Edit: Oh and stop wasting money on that race fuel when you dont need it. Just run 92-94 super pump gas and you will be more than fine. I bet the bike runs better on the lower octane and i know your wallet will feel a bit heavier! You only need that stuff with super high compression. Trust me on this.
